Licenses

License keys for apps you install, such as S+M VoIP for EspoCRM: free trials, paid keys, renewals and moving to another address.

Apps you install on your own system, such as S+M VoIP for EspoCRM, need a license key. Each license belongs to your company and works at one address: your CRM's, for example crm.example.com. Hosted services such as eSign don't use license keys.

Everything about licenses is under Products & licenses in your S+M account.

Start a free trial

  1. Under Start a free trial, choose the product and enter your CRM's address.
  2. Choose Start free trial.
  3. Copy the key: choose Show key next to the license, then Copy.
  4. Paste it once on the app's License page in your CRM.

A trial lasts 30 days and needs no card. There is one trial per company and per address. We also email the key to the company's owners.

Subscribe

Choose Subscribe next to the license and pick a plan. The license keeps its id, and the app picks up the paid key by itself: there is nothing to paste again.

Renewals

Keys renew by themselves while the trial or subscription runs: the app checks with S+M every day. You only paste a key once per address.

If a key expires, the app keeps working for 14 more days, then stops until a new key arrives. Under Products & licenses the license then reads Expired on …, still working for a few days.

Move to another address

When your CRM moves to a new address, choose Move to another address next to the license, enter the new address and choose Move license. Then paste the new key at the new address. The old address stops renewing. A license can be moved up to twice a month; after that, contact us.

Downloads

Owners, billing contacts and members of a company with a license see the app's versions under Downloads, each with its release notes.

Warning

Keep the key private: anyone with it can use your license at that address.
